Enough Already

 Whistler is just showing off now.

So my beloved, thoughtfully brings me back some lovely goodies from his  recent trip to New Zealand.  In amongst the Manuka honey, Promite, Ice Breakers, wool socks and Minties, he includes an amazing slab of Whittakers bittersweet  Ghana 72% cocoa bar. Surely it is a mispelling, did they mean Ganjha?

Cause-  Holy Cow  Zip E Dee Doo DAh!      I’m high!

After only a few small squares  Meg and I were bouncing off the walls and giggling. Must get more. Besides recent  reports now claim chocolate is a health food.

 Plus this drug is legal baby.

Hangover Cure

Woke up this morning to loads of big fluffy white flakes.  Before we had a chance to change our minds roll over  and curl up for more sleep, we were out the door running in a bit of a snow storm.  Magic it was.  Gotta be the best cure going.

Happy New Year

More than a handful goes to waist.

Ok boys you may want to leave. It is going to get ugly!

I was walking past a mirror in the gym the other day. Shock Horror I caught my reflection.

Talking about things going to waist, man did I need a better running  bra. 

  It is not for want of trying. I must have tried on 100’s of so called running bras and not one has held up to the test.  

Things were about to look up. I happened across a Moving Comfort  Running Bra. Hallelujah

 

Ladies it is well worth the trouble to track down this bra.

 Suffice to say I can now run with not only my head held high!

If a tree falls

The storms have knocked down tons of trees in Vancouver.

 

Not sure why they went down in Whistler,

but there was heaps of them down today. 

 Mental note to self, turn down Ipod

can’t hear the forest for the trees. 

  

Cabin Fever

 

I’ve got that snakey feeling.

The one you can get when the sun doesn’t shine . 

Trying hard  real not to notice the 10 days of grey skies,  snow, drizzle and rain.

Toss in 5 days spent with bored restless child underfoot, and an over consumption of restless child’s Halloween candy. 

I’ve got Cabin Fever

I’ve got it bad.

It is now dark (and did I mention cold and rainy) .

To the treadmill I go.

Mother Nature Pulled Through

I have been looking forward to my first run in the snow.  

 

 Double Bonus for the kids today, they woke up with a foot of snow to play in

and no school today!

Ba Humbug

Strolled into a shop in Vancouver.

Had to make a speedy exit.

than galaxy chocolate  

than sitting on my duff

than sex (sometimes) no not really

than swimming

than therapy

than a glass of Prisoner in Napa

than feeling like a slug

than a hot bath with a good book

than sweet potato fries with chipotle mango mayo

than not doing it

How sweet it is

The air was so fresh and clean today. We used to run  in London and it was thick with car exhaust. We would come home reeking of it. We were surely undoing any benefits  that we may have gained on our run.

We are spoiled now, not a single car in sight. The air was so sweet today that you could almost taste it.  A week of rain brought out a whole bouquet of aromas in the forest. 

Got a wiff of blackberries,toffee,pine and cedar. Very nice indeed.
